How
the Current Program Works
- Submit a "Request
for Inspection & Customer Grant Agreement" application
to your area's
Program Administrator by October 31, 2002.
- The Program Administrator will schedule an inspection of your
roof. The rebate you qualify for, which currently ranges from
$0.05-$0.15/sf of roof, will be determined by the Program Administrator.
-
Qualifying buildings will receive a "Notice of Eligibility".
- Notify your Program Administrator of prospective work dates
and any weather delays that may arise.
- The cool roof must be installed by December 31, 2002.
- Turn in the "
Final Application", along with receipts, no more than
2 weeks after the roof installation in order to complete the incentive
process.
- You will receive your incentive payment in approximately 6 to
10 weeks.

Cool Communities (Cool Roof Retrofit) Program
The (current) cool roof retrofit program deadline has been
extended to October 31, 2002. Under this new deadline, you will
need to submit your Request for Inspection & Customer Grant
Agreement application to the Program Administrator for your area
by October 31, 2002 and have the cool roof installed by the end
of 2002.
We are planning to roll out a new program for cool roofs called
the Cool Savings Program. More information on this program and
the new qualification criteria and rebates provided will be available
on this web page around the beginning of June 2002. Please check
back for more information at that time.
