Architects for Parksville Arena, Parksville, British Columbia was the firm of I.C.R Architects,  Leo Marioto, of  Vancouver, B.C. Main features of Oceanside Place include two NHL regulation size ice sheets, a Leisure Ice sheet named the Oceanside Pond, multipurpose rooms, a meeting room, a concession, skate shop and the main offices for the RDN Recreation and Parks Department.

The facility is attached to Wembley Mall. ProTek-USA’s ThermCote/A-5™ Ceramic Reflective Insulating Coatings Systems –CRICS^SM– were applied to the exterior of pre-cast concrete walls and structural beams as Thermal Barrier and for Energy Efficiency and for an extraordinary beautiful  architectural finish. The project was completed during 2003/2004.
